Feedback on my post about Matt Mullenweg over the weekend has been fairly positive. One topic that I wish I had covered: will our opinion change depending on whether the court rules in favor of Automattic or WP Engine? I think it could, but that outcome is a long way off.

@manton I couldn’t care less about the court’s decision. The man intentionally broke a lot of websites when his literal job is don’t break websites.

He then followed that up with “sorry my enemy broke your websites”, so you can add gaslighting to the list of shit behaviour.

@manton I think the general sentiment could also change more if there’s a particularly messy or off-putting discovery, even before any final ruling, in a similar way to some of the revealing discovery around Apple and developer relations within the past few years.
