@SimonWoods Same here. Click on Notes, immediate crash. Using Sonoma 14.3.1 on Mac mini (Intel)
@SimonWoods Sorry, working on a fix! Definitely got something mixed up in the Mac app for non-Premium.
@rogerscrafford @manton Oh I tried it with my premium account and the same thing happened — more widespread than I initially thought.
(It's a shame you'll have to wait for App Review for such a basic fix... oh wait nvm 🙃)
@manton I'm still getting crashes. Have a feeling I need to sign out and back in, especially since I still see an old profile photo fleetingly during a particular use of the UI.
@SimonWoods Sorry, I can see how that might happen actually. Does it fix itself if you just quit and open the app again? I'll probably do another release tomorrow with some additional checks for this situation.
@manton Nope, quitting doesn't help. It briefly looked like it was working after the update.
Given what @otaviocc is saying I think this might be the same issue; I have two accounts signed in across apps, browsers, and third-party software. I'll try signing out and back in again to see if that does the job.
@SimonWoods @manton @help I had some issues in Mobile Safari today. Signing out and back in didn't solve. I had to erase the website data first. I posted in help.micro.blog a few minutes ago so that other people can see if if they face the same problem.
@help @otaviocc Thought it was weird that my notes weren't syncing. Then checked the key and turns out I have two different keys. So I think that's the same bug you hit?
Either way I missed it because I wasn't paying close attention and instead assumed the system would just keep the keys the same on first use of the feature.
@SimonWoods yep. I believe it's the same problem. I believe the first time I accessed notes via Mobile Safari it created a key for that session/browser and later it created another one in the other browser.
I also assumed it would keep the one for the first note, but it didn't.
Manton left a comment on my post in help saying he's gonna take a look and improve the onboarding.
@otaviocc Also good news: controls for users are on their way to cover the period after initial set-up.
