More and more friends and colleagues considering iPad Pro as a replacement for laptop. I am so close to wholeheartedly recommending it.

Final barrier feels like getting files onboard. Apple’s ubiquitous cloud storage concept not widespread enough at the moment.

@rozzer I use it with Readdle's PDF Expert & Documents for iOS as a replacement for Apple's Files - it has the Dropbox + files on iPad sync I need, and it's wayy better for managing files... I feel no need to ever open the Files app for anything

@aviel I switch to the 2TB icloud plan when they activated family sharing and moved over all my files from Dropbox. I find it to be fantastic on iOS and even more useful on Mac than Dropbox as it offers smart downloads. The only missing app for me is Editorial on iOS

@rozzer We're currently saving up and planning to switch to all-Apple (our main Windows machine will stay for as long as it's needed) and I honestly can't decide which to go for between a MacBook and iPad Pro, in the long-run.

@khurt Agree, for a lot of circumstances it's not the right tool. Think it's getting close though, especially the Macbook Air non-techy scenario..

@simonmumbles switched from a Macbook Air and haven't really looked back. Undoubtedly some tricky areas, especially if you're doing development, or the lack of IO, but benefits outweigh that for my setup..

@rozzer I'm lucky in that the decision won't likely be made for many months, if not a couple of years, by which time I'm hopeful that both options will be much clearer re: pros and cons.
