@adders Yep. I've been ranting for years about the need for everybody in this country to give a shit about local areas, and having grown up with robust public services including a substantial transport system I feel increasingly cynical towards everybody who bends over backwards for the cult of the car.

It seems people are so terrified of trusting other people even a little bit that they'll sacrifice so much obvious good for the sake of a machine, and not even a pleasant machine at that. Utter madness.
