@JohnPhilpin Abbott Elementary is like that; the show is written as each season progresses, which gives them the opportunity to better include current issues.
@SimonWoods had not heard of that one … but looks interesting.
I like the Mockumentary approach … YEAH Spinal Tap!! .. though the subsequent ones by Christopher Guest .. oh my ( Later .. and to be clear .. ‘oh my’ in a good way … LOVED the later ones n many ways even more.)
… sadly don’t have Hulu .. so not possible to partake in … but thanks for flagging.
@JohnPhilpin Yep it's a lot like Parks & Recreation.
Spinal Tap is on my list of "why havent you watched this yet" films. Pretty sure I haven't seen his other films either, though I've definitely seen him in an acting role.
@JohnPhilpin You didn’t like Waiting for Guffman? Parker Posey outside fanning a single chicken wing on a grill? Slays me. Absolutely slays me every time I see it. Corky’s modern dance routine? Ron and Shelia’s audition? The penis reduction dinner?! Ohmygosh I love that movie.
@SimonWoods I’ve only seen part of Spinal Tap. I remember being a kid and thinking they were an actual metal band like Metallica or something and didn’t want to watch it. Then as an adult I saw the “these go to 11 clip” and laughed pretty hard.
@UndamnedOne I absolutely loved it and all of them .. I will go back and make that clear ..Spinal is he gateway drug to w whole universe of mockumentary brilliance.
@SimonWoods rob reiner was the director of ST, Chris Guest went on to produce some glorious films.
