To be fair it’s probably just the norm where they are, but it‘s a shame that even being a progressive multi-millionaire superstar isn’t enough to stop it.

The world is massive and complicated, and the Black & White mentality will forever be toxic no matter how good it feels to indulge in on the public web. In this instance, for example, Gizmodo made a pertinent correction and decided to bury it at the bottom of their article away from the sensational headline. This is crappy tabloid behaviour, even if it's not that surprising.
@SimonWoods I am still with Flickr Pro and will never stop as it acts as another back up of my photos.... only use iOS app to upload... the desktop one seemed to really lose it marbles... I am not convinced it has uploaded the high res images from my phone as there was a moment when I was so behind... but I try to remember to open the app more often its did hurt my battery for a while but way easier than any other method, but does it mean Flickr is sustainable ... maybe not ...
