@dejus What happens with the ferals if they are injured or sick enough to need a vet? Do you need to try to catch them? How does that work?
@Miraz Fortunately that hasn't come up yet. Cats are very good at hiding illnesses, but we haven't seen any injuries. If we did, we might try to trap the cat and take it to our vet, but it'd be very difficult to trap a specific cat, and very traumatic for everyone. (We do have a trap, just in case.) Pre-baiting and trapping feral cats is a tricky thing.
@simonwoods Not sure how; I didn't see an option in Icro, Micro.blog for iOS, or the website, but maybe I missed it?
@simonwoods I would have expected it to be an option in the links below the post; Remove is there, so why not Edit too? // @manton
@dejus @manton I like that idea too, though I can see how that row could become cluttered. There's also a logic to the separation, insofar as replies are themselves hosted separately and can be displayed as such on your blog. Maybe in this instance having both the in-line editing and the separate tab is a reasonable UI duplication?
@dejus Wow, all 5 at once! I can see trapping one would be hard enough. The pre-baiting is interesting and in hindsight, obvious. That second post also supplies some very interesting context / history. Could be good to link to it once in a while on your Caturday posts.
@dejus @simonwoods Perhaps because you can only edit replies for the first 24 hours? It does make sense to me to keep that separation because of that limit. // @manton
@simonwoods @manton I think having Remove in both locations, but Edit in only one, causes confusion. Either both should be in the post row actions, or neither. If space is the concern, could have Edit instead of Remove, while available, and have a Remove button in the edit view.
@simonwoods @dejus Yeah, mostly it gets a little cluttered. There's never been an Edit link there for hosted blog posts, either. I think we should experiment with improving that, though.
@Miraz Thanks. I think I link to it occasionally, perhaps around the anniversary of their TNR, but maybe I'm mistaken. You're right, I should. I have the Cat House project summary page, but that doesn't mention the TNR aspect. Maybe I need a dedicated page on the cats' history.
