I was thinking about Nick Heer’s post about the current top few social networks to replace Twitter, and specifically performance. I feel like Threads and Mastodon are fast, but it’s true that Bluesky is really fast. Wonder if federation performance will end up being AT Protocol’s strength.

@manton I’m feeling like Bluesky might be the dark horse for less techy types once it’s fully open. It feels very “it’s just Twitter but better” so far.

Will see if the moderation keeps up I suppose though.

I am at a place right now where I am wondering how we as a bsky-Community keep this thing financially afloat.
I don’t know if the Protocol is of any help in that regard.

@manton Compared to ActivityPub, I guess federation not being completely fucked could be a pretty strong point as well.
