@takosix very cool! Nice to have that kind of pan!
If you are up for vegetarian unstuffed S.Indian snack (though you could stuff & doctor) take a look at
kuzhi paniyaram recipes - similar to idli batter, and made in the same sort of mold. Also great eating.
Can enjoy with spicy chutneys on the side.

Kuzhi paniyarams - crisp fried brown balls of batter (soft insides) on a plate, with a small bowl of sambar and a large dollop of thick chutney, all on a plate with a banana leaf

Kuzhi paniyarams being fried in a pan with semispherical depressions with a big bowl of white batter next to it

@SRDas Is that steamed and then deep-fried? I've never had it. Looks delicious; have to try this.

@parag not steamed, fried in the pan. These were in Chennai.

@takosix awesome. I was looking into indoor yakiniku grills - too heavy to cart in luggage, and saw that I could get some electric ones here in the US (seemed like good reviews; zojirushi iirc). But would take up a lot of space for limited use.
But with multiple attachments/surfaces, and not a single use item, thats good! Hmm may have to start looking again
