I wonder if anyone is using something like Slack or Discord for family communications?

@tkoola I'm going to jump on this wagon because I was just about to ask opinions on Discord.

@tkoola Tried Slack a couple of years ago, but only one made the move, and for a couple of weeks only. Managed to move a few people to Telegram, but WhatsApp is king here.

@tkoola no, but we have a free Basecamp for a group of friends and it is great

@tkoola most of our family comms are via text, but Slack has been working really well the last year or two for our circle of parenting friends.

@mpmilestogo I remember installing LINE when we did our Asian tour. A lot of businesses used it, as well as people. Loved the kawaii thing but, once we were back home, no one would use that.

At the moment it’s Telegram mostly, and WhatsApp for the ones who refuse to move. Signal would be better, but I don’t have the energy to try moving all of them again.

@maique @ohbananajoe is Theema work personal any good? Never heard of it. I tried got people onto Telegram, but then had major “laugh in face” moments when the press went off on the Russian links. Signal would be ideal but it’s hard getting people to do it.

@tkoola I wish it wasn't WhatsApp but it is and moving off it isn't happening.

@ohBananaJoe people do not want to pay and think what’s app is the best.
