Give me a recommendation for a great Historical Fiction book.
@gdp I’ve read Pillars of the Earth. And all the others in the Series (many others by Follett too). I’ve also read Gentlemen in Moscow (enjoyed the series too) as well as the others by Towles.
I have never read Cornwell though. Where should I start?
@gdp Ohhh, The Saxon Tales is The Last Kingdom. Interesting. I enjoyed that show on Netflix, someone never realized it was him (I’m sure he’s credited in every single episode, I must be blind).

@gdp I just hit the 50% point of Book 1 of The Saxon Chronicles. Loving it so far. 12.5 books to go.

- Edward Rutherfurd’s Russka or, perhaps, Sarum (I haven’t read the latter, but it was recommended to me)
- Umberto Eco’s Baudolino
- A.S. Byatt’s The Children’s Book
- Jose Saramago’s Baltasar and Blimunda
