@MitchWagner I’ve implemented Standard.site but I think there is a timing issue where sometimes Bluesky doesn’t pick it up and show the preview card, even though the PDS records are there. It does require the “Include link card preview on Bluesky” option to be set in Micro.blog.

@manton Ah. Thank you. I think I might have had the wrong expectations for what standard.site does. Do you have the “include link card preview on Bluesky” option activated for manton.org?

@MitchWagner Yes, I have it enabled. I’m trying to figure out why it’s not consistently working on the Bluesky side. Here’s an example of an older post from a couple weeks ago, most titled posts should look like this when it’s working: bsky.app/profile/m…

@manton I think I was completely wrong about what standard.site is — I thought it allowed for publishing posts on the Bluesky timeline.

@MitchWagner That’s part of it. We’ve supported copying to Bluesky forever. The new thing with Standard.site is it defines a format for long-form posts, and then other Atmosphere apps can see that data beyond Bluesky’s 300-char limit. Standard Reader is an app that works with Micro.blog blog posts via Standard.site.

@manton Other Atmosphere apps can see the data, but that data doesn’t appear in the Bluesky app timeline, correct? The user still has to click to see the longer post?
