My almost-18, ailing boy Ares, sat on my lap for maybe an hour today, then suddenly had a huge seizure (first ever). 🐈 He frothed, panted and yowled. I rushed him to the vet who checked him over, and now he’s home and in bed, doing just fine. He’s down to 4.3Kg now though. 🙀
@macgenie Thanks. I imagine he won't be with us by Christmas. He used to be so robust. It's sad to see him ailing like this.
Thanks everyone for the good thoughts about Ares. He's doing OK this morning. 🐈 Unless he's like my cat Olive who was ‘at death's door’ for about 2 years, I do think he hasn't really got long left. This morning he went through his door the wrong way and got stuck in a corner again… He's also lost about 1.5Kg in the last year or 18 months. He's been the best cat ever, but I’ve told him his duties are completed now and it’s time for him to rest. @vasta @cheri @pratik @DrOct @smokey @macgenie
@Miraz Well, whatever happens I'm sure he's glad to have someone as loving as you there with him. I hope his last days, however long that is, are comfortable and happy for him. You're both in my thoughts.
