Fox in the long grass

Fox hunting in the long grass, late afternoon on the edge of the Kilpatrick Braes.

@johnjohnston Nicely spotted. It's not often we get a fox on the Timeline.

@johnjohnston The first time I saw this, I was in a hurry, I thought the fox was running away and that you were doing the hunting. Then I figure it must be photo hunting. I came back later to find I'd misinterpreted the image completely and the fox is doing the hunting. What a difference a pause makes.

@Miraz nearly missed in the long grass. We see urban foxes here quite often. I get more of a thrill from a country fox.

@cliffordbeshers An "a" at the start would have helped. She/he was hunting voles I think.

@johnjohnston We have zero foxes here, so seeing a photo of any kind of fox is a delight.

@johnjohnston Truth be told, I enjoyed the confusion. Fun pic.

We get them all the time in East London. This one was sleeping under our bay tree on 17 Dec.
