@cliffordbeshers There are some large cottonwoods in the woods I frequent. Walking along the trail as they drop their seeds all around you is magical.

@jabel @cliffordbeshers Cottonwoods are much less magical if you live in an American subdivision and your neighbor's cottonwood fills your front lawn with "cotton" for weeks at a time.

@ReaderJohn šŸ˜„ Iā€™m sure it is messy. We have a sweetgum in our front yard and raking up the seed pods is a chore, not to mention a bit of a hazard.

@cliffordbeshers I've been appreciating your recent picture + reflection posts! This one took me back to visits to my parents' house. They had a couple of big cottonwood trees in the back yard, and at the right time of year we'd sit on the patio watching the fluff come down like heavy snow.

@JMaxB Thank you, I'm enjoying writing them, though it is more time consuming than my normal routine. I had cottonwoods in my backyard when I was in college. The fluff was indeed thick and amazing. But as @ReaderJohn points out, it made lawn care challenging, and I was glad I wasn't responsible for that.
