This is for @Cheri. Deb and I both looked at this Facebook Post and couldn’t figure out at first why someone wanted to give away half a bathroom sponge…

@Miraz I enjoy Britishisms, but eating a sponge sounds so bizarre to American ears!

Post that says: Does anyone need half a sponge? I got a tray that had a double big one and only needed half of the tray.

@issimonwoods Heh. We do call it a sponge, but since I seldom eat it but often use a kitchen or bathroom sponge the food isn't the first thing to pop into my mind.

@Miraz Also unsure if I've ever seen a tray of sponge cake for sale.
