I’m confused by this GOP strategy to bus or fly people to the northeast:

…roughly 150 migrants in all — were their most conspicuous attempts yet to provoke outrage over record arrivals at the border

Who exactly is outraged? It seems transparently gimmicky and solves nothing.

@manton Yeah, my church in DC has helped a lot of these people out and the only "outrage" should be directed at the politicians who are doing this to "stick it to the libs". On one hand, it's heartbreaking what's happening, but on the other it gives us an opportunity to treat these migrants with the compassion and respect they deserve.

@jordon Yeah, watching CNN earlier they interviewed the folks helping those who arrived at Martha’s Vineyard. They were only annoyed that they had no warning to prepare. Seems to be bringing out the best in people.

@manton It really is confusing. The implicit beliefs behind the actions are not sustainable.
Belief 1: Texas's borders are pourous (debatable).
Belief 2: Biden's policies made them pourous (dubious).
Belief 3: Biden supporters like pourous borders (wrong).
Belief 4: Texans didn't vote for Biden and these policies (46.5% of us did, actually).
Belief 5: States that did vote for Biden want Texas to have pourous borders (wrong).
@KyleEssary Yep. It's a really misguided political strategy, even setting aside everything else.
