Thanks to @thatguygriff for sharing a Micro.blog plug-in that adds Open Graph tags to your blog, to allow previews on various social media platforms and iMessage. You can install it under the Plug-ins tab β Find Plug-ins.

@Gabz When you share a link, it'll include a rich preview rather than just the plain URL.
@manton Hey, thatβs excellent. It really makes a difference in how your content looks on social media.
@manton I don't see any changes after installing the plug-in. Maybe because I'm using a custom theme based on Archie.
@paulopinto Probably so. If you have a theme that changed any of the default templates before we added plug-ins, those older templates probably don't have the right markup. I'll try to work on some documentation for updating older themes.
@manton I was just starting to figure out how to add support for this. Great timing for this plugin.
@thatguygriff This is great! That instantly makes sense to me. Thank you so much for the examples (and double thanks for developing the plugin in the first place!)
@simonwoods oh KOOL Thankyou
I was with @gabz until that moment
Thankyou @thatguygriff - will install later - I link a lot!
@simonwoods that is a good thing
@thatguygriff just been looking at the github doc - still not working for me β¦ I am using Marfa- but customized - although pretty sure noting actually is !! seeing @manton saying that there needs to be some jiggery pokery for customized templates that I need to do to make it work on custom themes - decided it is time to stop putzing for now :-)
looking forward to seeing it in action
