🎵 was it [@stefp](https://micro.blog/stefp) or [@minton](https://micro.blog/minton) or [@laurentboileau](https://micro.blog/laurentboileau) or [@pgor](https://micro.blog/pgor) that put me onto Night Watch - and I was told it was Genesis like …. Genesis derivative I would say -... john.philpin.com

@JohnPhilpin I haven’t heard them before. On a similar note have you ever heard IQ?

@stefp i had not ... now have 😊 … a quick wikipedia trawl also reveal that their members don’t intersect with any of my usual suspects ... any recommendations to listen to …

@JohnPhilpin Latest album The Road Of Bones is excellent but I recommend one of my favourites, Frequency, first. Here's a great live show from ten years ago.

@JohnPhilpin It’s showing up on search for me. Must be some kind of licensing nonsense between the countries.

@pgor interesting - and thankyou - that took me to buy album where i could also click and go listen to on apple music and voila - meanwhile - went back to the search (see below) - still not there - but all good - now downloaded.

that all said - definitely going to explore this oddity more ... noting that the search i am doing is on the phone - but the album finding is on the mac

@JohnPhilpin I found it on iPhone—that album is also listed under “IQ” instead of “I.Q.” like the rest of their albums, generally frustrating. Enjoy!

@JohnPhilpin I.Q. Has been around since 1984, and a few members who are no longer in the band are friends. Their back catalogue from their first albums were great. There was a point in the middle where the signer left and they got a substitute singer and was short song oriented.

@JohnPhilpin But the original singer came back, and they got back into awesome epics. Subterranea is their best work, although Dark Matter and Road of Bones are right up there. Was not a big fan of Frequency, but won't discount it.

@JohnPhilpin @stefp Serendipitously, the new episode of European Perspective includes “Frequency”. 😀

@pgor the song. It was the first post Martin Orford, pre Neil Durant album. I think they got lost without Martin, and Neil put them back in order
