@johnphilpin has enabled conversations on his site after following @manton instructions here

conversation appears - e.g. here

but even though I have used Manton’s styling - it is not coming through - emptied cache and everything .... still - at least I am on the way !!

@JohnPhilpin I had to put the styling in my static/style.css file rather than using the the quick Edit CSS button on the Design page for it to take.

@colinwalker yes thank-you - the comments are there - but the css styling isn’t being picked up ... maybe I will try the suggestion from @hall - maybe even read all the instructions ... who knows!

@JohnPhilpin It’s just that, that is exactly what happened with me when I tried to style it.

@hall hmm - looking there now - it looks like you can only access that file if you are using a custom theme ...

looking at manton's conversation it suggests you are ... so maybe I should try that?

@manton ? thoughts?

@JohnPhilpin Yes, I am using a custom theme, but if you are not them the edit css button should work?

@JohnPhilpin @hall CSS is often cached by the browser. In Safari you can hold down the option key while reloading to force it to download the latest CSS. Also check yourdomain.com/custom.css in your browser to see if it has everything.

@manton @JohnPhilpin Tried that for a while, but for me only the custom css took.

@hall hmm ... I see it - and indeed the conversation format has changed .... so all good ... But I have no real idea why ... anyway - next stop to format it as I really want it.

Many thanks for looking and checking.

Eg like adding ‘says’ after the name like @colinwalker and adding a heading like ‘The Conversation’
