I caved and bought Marked 2 to preview my Markdown files as I write them in my text editor. It feels like 2015 again.

@matthewlang I have been using Marked via a Setapp subscription and have really enjoyed it. For a while now, I’ve switched all my markdown writing to Drafts, which has a built-in viewer I keep open while I write, and I’m happy with it. I’ve been unable to get Marked to work with Drafts.

@cliff538 i have no problem with Marked 2 working with Drafts - but then - I am not that much of an edge case on that combination.

@JohnPhilpin interesting! How do you initiate it? Normally, I drag the file down to Marked and it opens, but with drafts it doesn’t work for me.

@cliff538 Its an action that I recall pulling from the Drafts library - but subsequently edited the markdown output to suit my needs.

@JohnPhilpin Thank you, I’ll investigate this further now that I know it works with Drafts.

@jsonbecker If I had know Marked 3 was coming out, I think i would have held off.

Checking it out, I was slightly concerned about the pricing for Marked 3 after reading the homepage but found this on their Mastondon feed.

I’m looking forward to it supporting Bear’s call-outs styling.
