*With all due respect *… generally followed by a subtle (or not) dissing.
To be honest … implication being that generally they aren’t.
@JohnPhilpin “with all due respect” I take to mean, “We’ve thought about how much respect this idea deserves, and the following is our conclusion...”
@JohnPhilpin «I don’t mean to interrupt …» = Well I am in a hurry, so I exercise my right to interrupt at will.
«With all due respect …» = I respect my dog more than you, so here I go…
