@jean @ridwan I got a computer for $3.000 in 1995 too, but my employer bought it, and withdrew a monthly amount from my paycheck, else I couldn’t afford it.

@JohnPhilpin I grew up in Abu Dhabi in the 90s, I remember going to the electronics stores and gasping at the technology and the prices. Simple times!

@odd @jean @JohnPhilpin I think the first computer we had was in '92. It wasn't even Windows. I think it was DOS. My father's company paid for it or he was able to take it when they upgraded to newer versions. Can't remember. It was fascinating to play Dave or Doom some sort of game on it. 🤣
