@manton … maybe I am misunderstanding?
Nothing changed in app or on web but if it is going to happen, count me as a vote against the idea. I like to see accounts based on what service they are on. This sounds like no distinction will exist?
@JohnPhilpin Thanks. I'm not sure we will stick with this change, but I wanted to try it to see if it fit better with existing Mastodon accounts. Also to be clear: no change when viewed in Micro.blog. This only affects the reply when viewed on Mastodon.
@manton Ohhhhhhhh.... now I get it.
(Also, I just realised that when I hold down a key in this editor nothing happens. So I typed those h's out individually — is that working as expected or is it maybe a Mac bug or setting?)
@SimonWoods I think the mac keyboard now works more like the iOS one. Nothing to see with the h key, but try holding the e
@tadpol Oh, interesting! Thanks. I just switched off Key Repeat and not only did the accent menu stop appearing but also now delete is also restricted to being pressed per use.
It's super weird that it works this way and now I'm baffled as to how I missed this previously.
