I’ve signed up for several MB based newsletters today. I think most everyone had a newsletter via another service but I never bothered to sign up. I like the low friction of the MB approach. I wonder if there will be a ‘directory’ of MB users with newsletters?

@ronguest I would have thought that should be easy enough - as MB only - but then, a similar thought around podcasts would be another list ... is there. But is there?

Hard to track - I used to keep indexes of people around things I had an interest - but really too intensive to maintain ....

@ronguest the directory would be useful. There was one maintained earlier by Chris I guess. And John too.

A subscribe button right on the micro.blog profile page of a user would be helpful too. Not sure if it fits the design @manton

@amit The problem with that button is that the newsletter is based on your blog, whilst the profile pages are based on your account.

@issimonwoods Makes sense, so I doubted it would be straight forward change. With that said, such an option would be possible and very useful.

@amit I don't disagree. To be honest I think the profiles need a few changes but there also continues to be a foundational issue; the majority of people don't understand the difference between profile and blog. I hope that can be addressed, including changes to profiles, before newsletter-specific features are added.

@issimonwoods @JohnPhilpin @amit I've got some ideas around profiles (and podcasts), but they need exploring... and also I need to finish a few other MB related tasks beforehand (like the Android app).
