@isaacgreene This year-in-review is such a great idea. Do you keep a journal to help you remember each season?
@gbosarge It’s a good meaning-making exercise. I’m a terrible journaler, but I do make notes of some things. I take a fair number of photos so that is the main way I revisit events of the past year. Going through them calls up a lot things.
@isaacgreene Thanks! This was a pleasure to read, though the trials of parenting tiny kids loom large. Well do I remember! And I found it a beautiful model of how to do this kind of annual summary.
@JohnBrady Thank you, John. The format largely came from @ablerism and her beautiful post of memories from the year. If nothing else, it was a good exercise to capture some memories while they’re available.
@isaacgreene Loved reading this. I really, really struggled with three very small ones. Once everyone got to age 4, every year got easier. And “two years of struggling starts to come undone” is the truest expression of faith I’ve heard in a minute. Thanks.
@isaacgreene @ablerism I’ll tell you both, then, that I like this format. And appreciated reading the reflections. I do remember those early years; I also remember dealing with older adults who clearly had forgotten them, and promised myself not to. Any help in that regard is welcome. :)
