Super Mario Wonder is so good. And yeah, I did end up getting a new Switch Lite to play it. šŸ•¹ļø

@manton funny I was actually just thinking how much I have come to like that game this morning. However, I play it with my daughter so kind of extra fun but hard for me to not want to play it when we can't play together. I will continue to stay strong for now and hold off!

@manton Does the Switch Lite play all the same titles as the standard version? And what are the main differences between those devices?

@pimoore It can play almost anything. I guess if a game needs detached controllers, that wonā€™t work. Main downside is it canā€™t connect to a TV.

@manton OMG! Marley and I we were both trying to do that wall jump challenge up there, it was a little stressful šŸ˜‚

@Gaby Some of these levels are actually tricky, which I love. Good balance of fun and just enough challenge.

@buck Itā€™s good! The full Switch is still the ā€œbestā€, but itā€™s nice to save $100 going with the Lite if you only want something portable.

@pimoore The Switch Lite has a 5.5-inch screen, the Switch has a 6.2-Inch screen, and the Switch OLED has a 7.0-inch screen. Unlike the others, the Lite cannot be used with an external display or TV. I bought an OLED version and returned it in favor of a SteamDeck (to play PC games). Having used the regular Switch, the Switch OLED, and the StearmDeck (7-inch LCD), I think the OLED is worth it (especially if your eyesight is limited) if you want to play several Switch titles. There are some games that donā€™t work with the Lite. That will be noted.

@manton Do you know if Nintendo have any sense of saved state across hardware? If I've played 40% of a game on my family Switch, does a new Switch pick up where I left off? Asking for a friend tempted to get their own Switch. ;)

@iChris Yes, we went through this too. If you subscribe to Nintendo Online, it will sync your saves to the cloud, but I think you can also transfer saves between Switches if you have both with you (without a subscription).

@gebloom @manton Thank you both. I wouldn't mind the option to hook this up to a TV, though whether I'd actually bother remains to be seen. The point about eyesight is well-taken, seeing as I'm 49 and my eyes aren't what they used to be.

@manton I got the Switch Chonky.

This is the old Switch in a new CRKD Nitro Dock. Zero drift and feels great in big hands. I call them chonky but not in a fat shaming way.
