@bennorris What you say in the last paragraph rings true for me - that shouting into a void thing. I need to be reminded sometimes that writing is beneficial regardless of whether anyone is listening. Expecting validation or engagement can get in the way of meaningful writing. The fact that others are listening (thanks @macgenie) is just a pleasant side effect of honest expression. This thread is a case in point I guess.
