Singing a song about taking a dump to the tune of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony does not appear to help a puppy’s potty-training process.

@garciabuxton Daniel The Tiger’s potty song worked with our daughter Marley 😁
@garciabuxton I sing a song about Vitamin C to the tune of the Spider-Man theme, and that works perfectly for getting the guinea pigs to come out and get their vitamins. (It helps that they love their Vitamin C tabs.)
@Gabz That is what finally worked with my son too. He was also scared of going to pre-school, and Daniel Tiger helped him with that. I've joked that Daniel should do calculus so my son can learn that too.
@macgenie Love that image. 😁 And I had no idea guinea pigs needed Vitamin C tabs — don’t leafy greens have plenty?
@ronguest So far, he seems to like the soundtrack to F’s computer game. To each his own. 🙂
@garciabuxton Here's the video: youtu.be/tbAEUUB4N...
The guinea pig diet is supposed to be mostly hay and hay-based pellets. The fresh veggies are a treat, and shouldn't be given in mass quantities. Leafy greens are tricky because they are also high in calcium, which is not good.
Like humans, guinea pigs don't produce their own Vitamin C and they will get scurvy if they don't get sufficient amounts. The tabs are the reliable way to make sure they get it.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk. 😂
@macgenie That video is all sorts of awesome. And happy to get that explanation of the Vitamin C issue.
The last time I had much exposure to guinea pigs was in grade school, when I got to take the class pet home a couple of times. Can’t remember why we never adopted a couple of our own when I was growing up. If not for our cats and dogs, I’d consider having a pair join the family. (When cruising local shelters online, I noticed a whole bunch of piggies up for adoption. I had no idea!)
