@manton Me too. I have definitely fallen into adding 53 new habits to some ShinyHabitApp and then done precisely none of them. This year: just two. (Oh, and I like how you can pause habits in Streaks - great for travel, and for “future habits” I want to eventually layer on, but that I'm not quite ready for yet.)

@zoe I didn't know about pausing! That's useful. Despite hearing good things about Streaks for a while, this is my first time trying it. Really nice app.

@manton So true. Behavioral modification is a slow process. Small is always more long-lasting for me. Over time, those small changes add up to big things, rather than flaming out in a few months.

@manton A great watch app/complication too if you’re into that scene.

@manton @zoe Streaks is the one app I’ve consistently used via Siri Suggestions. After logging a task on a regular enough schedule, my Siri Suggestions list started displaying an option to log that particular task — at the right time of day, on the appropriate days. Pretty nifty.

@manton no task manager! I wish I could leave task-manager-less life !

@manton Streaks is a great example of the exact type of third-party development I have both missed as an Android owner and am convinced is a tangible difference maker for Apple in general. Also makes me think hard about getting an Apple Watch when I get back to iPhone, despite my desire to avoid having yet another device to charge.

@zoe I’ve been using Streaks for ages and had no idea it supported that! 😳🤦‍♂️

@tantramar I think pausing streaks is inherently risky behaviour so, rightly I think, they hide it away in the menu for each task. But judicious use can be helpful!
