Yikes! gabz.micro.blog
@Gaby I just finished reading that. Itās good to see him highlighting this issue in this way; the executives have literally said to his face āIām baffledā when he asked about developers being unhappy with Apple. They lied to him, and now he is able to use his voice to display the proof of that.
@SimonWoods I truly get frustrated every time I read a story like this one. This just makes apple look bad and makes me hate that I like and use their products sometimes š
@Gaby The good news is that that post seems to have shamed Apple into doing the right thing. Ice Cubes is in the App Store now! Of course, it shouldnāt have been so difficultā¦
@adders I havenāt actually tried it, because Iāve been so happy with Mastoot š Youāre definitely not the first person Iāve seen singing its praises, though!
@jayeless I saw that! Iām glad it worked out in the end but just as youāve said, it should not have been this difficult
@adders It looks like a good app. The thing I canāt find is filtering. It must be there, but I feel like I tapped all the obvious things. My minimum feature wish is to hide boosts. Can you help?
@jean I think this is something you need to do from Mastodon web by going to the profile. docs.joinmastodon.org/user/modeā¦
@kimonostereo On social.lol, there is a filter button next to Home which I have set to show no boosts. But that setting doesnāt carry over to any apps Iāve tried, so Iāve only been using the web page. I donāt want to fiddle with setting that for each person I follow.
@kimonostereo Thank you, Scott! Iāll try this for a while. Itās my main requirement for being on Mastodon. I am just used to the calm of the Micro.blog timeline now. Iām also ok with some friction. Iāve been using the social.lol website until now. Itās not ideal, but then I donāt want to spend that much time on Mastodon, separately from Micro.blog, anyway.
@Gaby In a way, you have to work very hard and invest a lot of time, money, and effort to make it on both the App Store and Google play, but in the end they can both break your business over night.
