@maique I have a lot of actions I can add to this discussion as well!
@maique I created several keyboard rows. One of them is communications. So it allows me to easily send a draft as a text or an email to certain contacts that I talk to frequently. I have a quick “Send to Micro.blog” action that I use daily. You can put a title in it as well which is nice.
I have quick actions for twitter. One of my favorites, though, is the action that acts like fantastical for reminders and calendar events.
I use the widget a lot too. I’ll send a screen shot of that when I get a chance. I use the grid setup and have it stacked. So I have my most used Workspaces there. I also have open, dictate, last draft, etc.
@maique I’d like to have a copy of everything that I send out via emails or posts to Micro.Blog or whatever, and that thought struck me when I saw your Basics palette.
@maique do you use Drafts as a long term storage option? Or do you use Apple Notes, Craft, Bear, etc for that?
@maique Reason I asked was I used to store everything in Drafts. But I’ve recently started migrating some stuff to Apple Notes. Mainly because of the ability to share notes and the fact that you can lock notes so people can’t see the notes without a passcode. But also, I had a situation last week where Drafts did something weird and I lost some of my actions and workspaces. I had to go back and restore from a backup. That kind of scared me. Now, I’m not saying that won’t happen with Apple Notes as well.
@ChrisJWilson @maique @odd @greghiggins @gr36 I would love to use Drafts as much as I used to before, but Ulysses makes composing and posting so easy especially with images, that it feels like to recreate all that in Drafts it’d be a bunch of hacks…
@maique The locking was a big deal. So any personal notes, information, etc you can lock the note.
I collaborate with my radio co-host for sporting events. So that makes it nice to have a shared apple notes. I didn’t realize how powerful Apple Notes has become over the past couple of years.
@Gaby @ChrisJWilson @maique @odd @gr36 the app Mimi makes it easy for me. But I do have an action that uses Shortcuts which is easy
@Gaby but it feels like native. You hit the button (like you do in Ulysses) and you pic a picture, it uploads it and gets you the link…..
Ok, dangit…so it’s a hack.
@greghiggins lol, that being said, I do use Drafts for many other things, just not blog posts
@Gaby I get that. And I understand not everyone uses it the same way. That’s what makes apps like Drafts, Bear, Ulysses, etc. so great. They can be used in so many different ways and be powerful in each of those ways.
