I have extreme MCU fatigue so I’m only going to watch the stuff clearly and closely inspired by comics I’ve actually read and enjoyed. 🍿📺🗯️

@KimberlyHirsh I wonder if this is the reason why I haven’t rushed to watch Dr. Strange or even try to rush to watch the new Thor. I will rush for Top Gun tho {Danger Zone in the background}
@KimberlyHirsh I never read any comics, but I really enjoyed the movies. By Endgame, I was so tired of it all. WandaVision brought back some delight, but since then I just can’t even.
Star Wars: Latest movies, TV series = 😵💫 (but I have to give Obi Wan a shot.)
Star Trek: Still not tired of it. Not yet. 😉
@jean I’m not weary of Trek but I think it’s friendlier to newbies (gatekeeping fans notwithstading) than the other two. MCU in particular apparently is like homework now according to some reviews. WandaVision was very loosely inspired by a Vision comic I really liked and all the parts that were suburbia and not SHIELD I loved. (SHIELD makes me sleepy.) Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk are all based on comics runs I’ve enjoyed so I’ll try them. I love The Mandalorian but didn’t make it past the first few minutes of The Book of Boba Fett because I can’t focus on dialogue-light stuff these days. Obi Wan I’ll probably try because it’s Obi Wan. My first dog was named Obi Wan Kenobi.
@Gaby I am very far behind on the movies, happy to dip into the series when they don’t require me to know too much movie stuff.
@KimberlyHirsh If a series isn’t enjoyable and doesn’t add something to my life, I skip it. (For me, that means nearly all of the DC movies.) Us fans of things should be kinder to each other and stop requiring everyone keep up with all these series like they’re assigned homework.
@gregmoore It’s more the creators of new stuff expecting people to have seen all the old stuff that feels like homework to me. I think I’m just used to a certain subset of fans behaving that way and am comfortable ignoring them. If you want me to try your new thing, though, make it legible to me even if I haven’t seen hundreds of hours of stuff that came before. (Strange New Worlds is doing a great job with this.)
