@Gaby Lemme know if it works. What you're seeing in the progress is that Micro.blog downloads every photo as part of the export, so that it can add each one to a new Day One post.
@manton I will, I am guessing this will take a while. Correct? Wish there was a Screencast for this but I think is pretty straightforward.
@manton Are there plans to bring the exporting functionality to the web and iOS/iPadOS versions of the app as well?
@greghiggins Trying to export mb post to Day One.
@pimoore I'd like for there to be some basic export functionality on all platforms, although there were some things like Day One that were a better fit for Mac-only. Next up for export is probably making the .bar files work everywhere.
@Gaby nice and looking forward to hearing how this goes as I have recently thought about it. Question, if you are going to setup a link going forward so all M.b posts go directly to DayOne or just do another export at some point?
@ericmwalk that’s something I am thinking about. Usually I’d do IFTTT for every post on Micro.blog in crates an entry in day one, but it has t been working lately. Also, the IFTTT export includes links I don’t need or want so I’m hopping this export won’t have those. And then maybe just manually copy posts to day one or create a shortcut. Will see
@mpmilestogo I did. But, everything in my main journal, are all Micro.blog posts anyways. So if this works I might delete the main journal and make this [Micro.blog export] my main
