@pimoore sweet and salty and spicy go great together. I made a sandwich like that. Turned out great.
@oboer331 @gaby @pimoore The bacon maple doughnut was probably key to Voodoo Doughnuts becoming such a phenomenon in Portland. 🥓🍁
@pimoore I can think of nothing worse. To me, and I admit I may be odd, broccoli is delicious. A touch of sesame oil, or lemon, or butter makes it more so, but even dead plain I love that stuff.
@jeremycherfas @pimoore I love broccoli. Roasted, or the leggy stuff lightly boiled and then griddled.
@cn A little goes a long way. But I prefer to get mine from the occasional bitter almond.
@JMaxB @pimoore fried chicken and waffles is a semi regular (and much loved) treat in my household. I think we picked it up from living in DC, you would see it on the menu fairly regularly there (Marvin and Founding Farmers both had it). These days it’s homemade waffles topped with popeyes tenders and doused in maple syrup :)
@pimoore there’s trace amounts of all kinds of scary stuff in almost everything, but the dose makes the poison.
@pimoore Not as far as I am aware. Mostly things called glucosinates (from memory) but they’re not very bad for you.
@pimoore @cn @jeremycherfas Team 🥰 🥦.
And I loved Brussels sprouts as a kid, long before they made them taste even better. But keep those Lima beans away from me.
@pimoore I’m sure that my grandson will happily sign up to this project as a taster! 😋
