@pimoore @maique Like you say, for a web view it really is a very good app. Feels native. I used it for a while, but the lack of offline access bugged me. I have other non-Fastmail email accounts and juggling between multiple clients just didn’t sit right with me.

@maique How did you manage to position the apps half way down the screen? I’ve seen, I think @manton share a method which requires a black background, but you appear to keep a starry background.

@crossingthethreshold I think it maybe this app (widgets): apps.apple.com/no/app/cl…

@odd Thank you. I didn’t think of widgets. There’s an app for everything (except making my coffee)!

@crossingthethreshold That reminds me…if you got a iPhone, a coffee maker, and a Fibaro wall plug, you can set your coffee to be ready for when you wake up! 😃☕️ (I’ve been hesitant, because the water wouldn’t be fresh).

@maique Yeah! I always had a folder like that, in fact, I think it was even in my dock most of the time. I stoped at some point and not sure why, as it’s very convinient in all honesty

@maique I may have gotten inspiration from your setup and re-did mine, and I am finding the folder useful gain, it might actually stay… i think

@crossingthethreshold I had been awake for some hours, so I was happy to share. I used to use that widget, but have gone back to a simpler, (and more boring), system. @maique I might switch again, of course…

@maique you have both Raindrop and GoodLinks. Do you use them for different purposes; and if so, for different collections of links or the same (synced) set of links?

I’m looking for something to augment (replace?) pinboard for iOS and stuff. Thanks for any thoughts you have.

@maique oh wow. Not only do both those workflows sound like what I’ve been looking for, I just looked up mailbrew! 🤯

I let a lot of tech apps linger and faulted when working on my PhD, which I finished in 2018. And only during the pandemic (downtime!) realized how many of the workflows and apps I was relying on were outdated.

They need to have you on the micro.blog conference for cool workflows. Many many thanks.

@maique yeah, that would be a good project for me to do for my wife too. I saw the potential in that I the signal::noise ratio these days on Twitter is really bad but that’s one of the few places I can see what my colleagues are talking about. But a mailbrew of most popular links from my feed or a curated list in my email every weekday would be perfect and obviate me needing to be on Twitter until after I get my important work done.

@maique does good links import links from other apps … I have Instapaper, instaread and abyss .. none are good enough for a 1 stop shop
