Enjoying my new iPad Air. The size is taking me a couple days to get used to after mostly using my old iPad Mini for the last year. I will probably stick to the Kindle for book reading… The iPad for video, chat, blogging, and Micro.blog-related testing.

@Pilchuck Unless I was doing more serious photography or video editing, the M1 iPad is hard to justify. Just having the Air is a huge upgrade for me.

@manton I got one for my wife last month, celular, and she loves it. Got her also the Smart Keyboard which I didn’t know the new ones had the Apple logo on, kinda jealous. The only thing she had issues getting used to was the Touch ID instead of Face ID

@pimoore Cool, enjoy it! I have no idea what we’ll see for iPadOS this year, but regardless the M1 is going to last for a long time.

@manton Hey Manton, congrats on getting a new iPad Air. It’s on my list as well. Meanwhile, I’m using an old iPad 9.7-inch from 2018. I’m using it for all of the things you mentioned including reading in the Kindle app.

@rishabh I remember your post… I agree that the Kindle app on the iPad has a lot of advantages. It’s much faster and less clunky to navigate. I’m finding the 10.9-inch Air just a little too big as my primary Kindle device, but I prefer it for browsing and buying books, and some reading.

@manton someday I’ll finally break down and get an iPad (I haven’t justified it until now without multiple account functionality in my family setting). If/when I do I still think the mini form factor is the right one for me.
