@peterimoore yeah, this was probably the only place that felt safe enough, now, it, well, not as safe

@Gaby Yes, this moment of transition feels slippery. We stopped by a store that was super-crowded, and we booked out of there as soon as we could. Vaccination % aren’t high enough yet for me to feel comfortable in busy indoor spaces, even as the states loosen up their rules.

@Cheri yeah, I mean, this place specifically, is a small type business. They only had a few tables available, now , all tables are opened and employees and waitresses aren’t wearing masks anymore. Surprisingly though, us customers, still are.

@Gaby @Cheri I generally shop at the local, hippy-dippy co-op, so I know they’ll keep up the protective measures long after Seattle loosens official restrictions. And I’m quite happy about that.

@jessekelber Popping by REI was our mistake. It was a madhouse (with masks).

@Cheri Yeah…I’ve been using curbside pickup there, to avoid exactly that situation.

@Gaby Yikes, that’d make me very uneasy, too. Some people are waaaay too fast to try to get back to “normal”. Here in Australia we’ve virtually eliminated the virus and I still wear my mask into stores and restaurants… better safe than sorry, right 😔
