Hello fellow tech fans, can anyone recommend a breathable backpack that can carry headphones, water etc when out and about ?
@Munish Tom Bihn’s is always a fine choice , I do have both the 25 and 19L they’re good quality and comfortable backpacks
@Munish @Gaby Big fan of Bihn here. Slightly bias as they’re made in Seattle. Actually I rode past The factory today. Anyway, awesome bags, but what works best for you will depend heaving ou your use case (warning, I may carry-geek on you if given the chance). Other than headphones and water what do you carry regularly? Do a lot of walking? Ride a bike? Like modern lines, or more of a classicist? Would be happy to suggest several to look into…
@jessekelber @Gaby thanks both. Tom Bihn are inflated in price in the UK. Looking for something more reasonable. This will not be my only bag, as I have many others in messenger form. I will be carrying couple of pairs of headphones ( over ear ) for family, bottles of water and snacks, a few accessories / book etc. Main use is for walking. I might chick in the odd camera now and then with a zoom lens. So something that’s adaptable too.
@jessekelber I don’t mind modern lines. I currently have an all black leather laptop backpack, Bilingham cross body for camera and bottle. When travelling, carry a huge Incase backpack, which I can add all the families stuff in. Looking for something breathable and like a day bag.
@Munish Mine is from Timbuk2, a bicycle bag company. They don’t make my model any more, but I’ve never been dissatisfied with what I’ve purchased from them. Not sure how their prices are where you are, though.
@Munish Ah, that’s right, you’re in the UK. Look at Trakke, Scottish outfit making some really nice pieces that would be flexible enough to cover those scenarios. I love Millican bags, and they’re British so no import nonsense. Let’s see, not sure about pricing, but Mission Workshop makes a line you can build up with the modules you want for different uses, I think it’s called Arkiv. And lastly, look at WNDRD, they have a bag called the Provoke with a removable camera insert that I’ve been drooling over since I got my X-T4. Not cheap no matter which continent you’re on, but really nice! Happy to poke around some more or recommend resourses, OH, like Carryology.com, hit them up for reviews and such.
@jessekelber oh wow thanks so much. You have send me down a rabbit hole now lol. Let me go check some of these out and come back to you
