It seems to me that most people, certainly those I know, haven't spent the time yet really, truly considering the short, medium and long-term implications of what climate emergency looks like. For so many years it was all about sea level rise. But the truth of course is that sea level rise will be just one of a myriad of problems. So much complexity not just in our natural systems but in our complex human systems. We can see what just one pandemic and 2 years has brought us. We're at just the very beginning of the rest of what will be decades of a long climate emergency. Our lives going forward will never be the same.
