@ChrisJWilson I guess detecting proximity means that you have to have proximity detecting hardware in the iPads…
@yatil True, is the pencil new? I’d assume it would need to be on both sides but perhaps I’m wrong there and it could just be the iPad.
@ChrisJWilson I like how they're highlighting "Blazing-fast connections" via wireless for their only iOS device that supports thunderbolt.
@SimonWoods I mean. Who wouldn’t want the BEST iPad. When I do think about what I’d like to get there’s always that siren voice of “but the iPad Pro is the best”
@ChrisJWilson Yeah, exactly. Currently my thinking is the same for this and every other item in my life, where possible; get the best one, use it for as long as possible.
@yatil Thanks for the info and detail snooping. Still don't think it will get me to get a new iPad Pro (even excluding budgetary issues).
@SimonWoods I generally like this principle too. It works well with Apple things especially in recent years with the long support for hardware. Where I think it get's tricky is between product lines. I have a Macbook Air because I don't really need the Pro. With the iPad it feels more tricky though. The lines seem so close to each other.
@ChrisJWilson oh yeah, I have no intention to update my 2018 11”, too. It’s still plenty good enough for my use cases.
