When I was coding / playing with my ZX Spectrum I didnt ever think we would have hand held devices that unlocks via facial recognition, it’s pretty mind blowing how quickly computing has moved on. Can we keep the Silicon Valley capitalist system away as much as we can please.
@adamprocter It's tricky though. The capitalist machine has brought a lot of the advances from the lab to the masses. Far better to harness and regulate and (potentially) split up the companies than to banish them entirely.
After all, I'm sure Apple is primarily interested in privacy as a way to sell more phones. But we end up getting more secure devices out of it.
