Finished listening to the audiobook version of Eye of the World by Robert Jordan. I had always put off reading this series because there are so many books, but I’m finding the audiobook great to supplement podcasts and other books. 📚

@manton I stopped before the end of the series (9th book, 10th?) when Robert Jordan died, but that first one blew my mind!

There is, IIRC, a TV series in the works... so I need to finish it up.

@manton That was such a good series. I read all of them; took me about a freaking year ... but ... was excellent.

@SciPhi Brandon Sanderson does an amazing job with the last three. Also, he brings some of his system based thinking about magic—it’s amusing to see how Traveling is by far the most powerful weave. 🙃

@SciPhi It seems set up perfectly for a TV series.

@Bruce Yes. It's so odd, because I knew nothing of Sanderson when he was chosen to finish it. I started checking him out, reading his stuff, listening to his podcasts... but never went back to finish WoT!

@manton I started reading this series like in the early 90's in middle school. At some point I stopped and decided to wait until the series was finished. Never thought it was going to that long. I've been meaning to get back to it for a while now...
