After yesterday’s post, I had to find both Japanese phones I remembered shooting. Love them, but the pink one? 🥰🥰🥰

I’m with you on the reliability issues. I get the small team, and the effort it takes. But, when things go wrong, yeah, we’re stuck for hours before anyone is up.

I had a 50% success rate on the last one, everywhere. But 50% is as good as 0% on these, and in this one it was even a bit more annoying, as the one that failed was the whole reason to post.
I’m holding on for a few hours. Probably, by then, I’ll be busy, so…
@maique I’m starting to go off the idea of crossposting anyway. Too confusing, I forget I have it set up then see messages on another platform that it seems I’ve just ignored.
@BenSouthwood I get it, if it's messy. I do spend time on Mastodon (probably more than here), and now bsky added to the mix. For me, it makes sense. I do have a lot more interaction on Mastodon in general, so...
@maique I understand. It’s frustrating if you want it to make life easier, but it doesn’t. Hopefully it can be sorted out.
@BenSouthwood I turned off CDN for photos, and, at least on the blog, it seems to be working. Obviously, it's too late for the other networks, but... whatever. I do love it here, but I'm following most of you over there anyway, and the ones that will never move here. I'll keep going, of course, my yearly subscription just renewed, so...
@maique I haven’t quite dug deep enough into BlueSky yet and need to make Mastodon a place I’d like to stay on. There’s still too much of the attention seeking that drove me mad on twitter. I know it’s airy-fairy, but I’d like my social-media to be an escape from ‘real-life’ and all the ugliness that goes on.
@BenSouthwood Not sure if bksy will be a good fit for that, in my opinion. I don't get that feeling. As far as Mastodon goes, as with most places, I suppose it comes down to who you follow. The entire social.lol gang is pretty cool, as are the M.b members I follow there. I've added a few Portuguese that ran away from Twitter, and sprinkled that with a couple others. So far it's good. And the apps, as I've said before, make the whole experience easier.
@maique It’s just by own irritations, stuff that isn’t really that important or awful in the grand scheme of things. The social.lol lot do seem nice, I think I need to stop overthinking to be honest and looking for things to annoy me.
@BenSouthwood Hahahaha... I know that feeling. I threw a hissy fit a couple of days ago because of an icon, and I'm keeping to it. Not going back to that one. But, of course, in that grand scheme, what is the real importance of the whole thing? I'll just ignore the odd stupidity, and move on.
@maique My button is the ‘Hey (tag firm)…moan, moan…’. I’m honestly a reasonable chap, but the older I get the more annoyed I get by things. I’m going to dig in properly to Mastodon, because I think it has potential.

@BenSouthwood In omg.lol's Dashboard you'll find a "social.lol" section, there you get your PW and instructions to join its Mastodon instance.
@maique I paid for the omg a few months back, and haven’t really dived into it. I follow Adam on here and he seems like a lovely chap, so starting again from new might give me a better experience.

@maique I happily pay for Mb because I like the people, so if the Mastodon instance is a reflection of Adam I’ll happily pay for that space too.
@BenSouthwood Same. The very fair pricing includes a ton of stuff too, weblog included. Pricing is also affordable here, but can’t really justify two accounts at this point. I’ll keep paying for this one, of course, but that other one will probably end.
@maique Yes, some telephones were real design pieces. I still remember that at one point I was totally happy when we bought a Swatch landline phone. That was a big hit. Long, long ago 🫠
