(This continues to be one of my personal gripes with Micro.blog; it has long felt US-centric in that even performance and stability are so different depending on the time of the day.)

@maique Mastodon is working for me, but not Bluesky.

@maique I’m starting to go off the idea of crossposting anyway. Too confusing, I forget I have it set up then see messages on another platform that it seems I’ve just ignored.

@maique I understand. It’s frustrating if you want it to make life easier, but it doesn’t. Hopefully it can be sorted out.

@maique I haven’t quite dug deep enough into BlueSky yet and need to make Mastodon a place I’d like to stay on. There’s still too much of the attention seeking that drove me mad on twitter. I know it’s airy-fairy, but I’d like my social-media to be an escape from ‘real-life’ and all the ugliness that goes on.

@maique It’s just by own irritations, stuff that isn’t really that important or awful in the grand scheme of things. The social.lol lot do seem nice, I think I need to stop overthinking to be honest and looking for things to annoy me.

@maique My button is the ‘Hey (tag firm)…moan, moan…’. I’m honestly a reasonable chap, but the older I get the more annoyed I get by things. I’m going to dig in properly to Mastodon, because I think it has potential.

@maique Regarding the social.lol Mastodon, is an account already set up if you’re a member? Can’t see a way of joining.

@maique I joined up on that instance. I think starting again might be just the ticket as it happens.

@BenSouthwood In omg.lol's Dashboard you'll find a "social.lol" section, there you get your PW and instructions to join its Mastodon instance.

@maique I paid for the omg a few months back, and haven’t really dived into it. I follow Adam on here and he seems like a lovely chap, so starting again from new might give me a better experience.

@maique Yes, some telephones were real design pieces. I still remember that at one point I was totally happy when we bought a Swatch landline phone. That was a big hit. Long, long ago 🫠
