Not sure if you're seeing this on Buttondown, but for my own newsletter there I had to turn on email confirmations under the Subscribing menu, which has really cut down on the number of spammy subscribers.

... and thanks! I've thought about that option and decided to wait and see. I think it's enough of a niche topic to avoid that problem. Although, maybe I've just been lucky lol
@simonwoods Right on. I think having a signup form on the business website is what's driving it for me, there may be better protections against that on the Buttondown website. 🤔
@AngeloStavrow I am going to be heavily linking to one of TIL's own pages rather than the BD page, so if the site ever gets any randomly unusually high coverage then it'll probably happen to me. It feels good to know that the tools would be set to use in case of such an event and that Justin is also good at providing support; he recently helped me get something new set up, as well as test out something even newer briefly.
