đď¸ My Tiny, Beginners Fountain Pen Collection ![]()

@dustdaughter Tiny, you say?
That seems like a lot of fountain pens, but I guess not by FP people standards. đ
I feel like I have a lot with 3 vanishing point/decimos, 4 TWSBis, and 2 Safaris.
@toddgrotenhuis Yeah, the FP folks on YouTube and Instagram have so many pens theyâve lost track of whatâs in their collection. I donât have that problem, so I consider this tiny!
If I could start over, I would probably get a lot more TWSBIs.
@dustdaughter So many colours! Iâve had my eye on the TWSBI Ecos, though I kinda want to just put all available FP money towards a Lamy 2000. Just love the look of it.
@AngeloStavrow Lamyâs are great. Great writing experience right out of the package. That is a dilemna - buy one great pen thatâs a bit beyond the budget or get several more affordable ones.
@dustdaughter It really is! And I also have to keep reminding myself that I really enjoy my trusty olâ Pilot Metropolitan, too, so do I really need another pen?
(I do, obviously.)
@pimoore all of the so called qc issues in the past have been bullshit. A lot of people think itâs related to how the hooded nib can require some practice to get used to the best way to angle it
@pimoore @dustdaughter @hjertnes The only article Iâd read that indicated anything was a nib issue, that was rectified by essentially getting it polished: www.penaddict.com/blog/2013âŚ
@pimoore been rumors about it many times. Brian Goulet did a video on it years ago.
His impression based on sales and feedback to Gouletpens was that there arenât a quality control issue but rather about the nib being a little bit difficult to get used to
