@manton I have export working for Links. I‘d love to test it with Micro.blog, however, there is no such thing as a test blog for bookmarks (also I am not on Premium right now and cannot import anyway). But I will test my BAR import with the test blog and hopefully report success. :)

@manton interesting. I just realized that you don‘t actually offer .bar import or am I blind?

@AlexKucera We only have .bar import in the Mac app right now! File → Import → Blog Archive. I’ve been wanting to add this on the web too for quite some time. Also feel free to email me a .bar if you want another pair of eyes on it.

@manton will do once I get import working in Links. Feels like I should be able to import the stuff I export. :)

@AlexKucera Sounds good! For bookmarks, Micro.blog can also import and export HTML and CSV. Since I haven’t used Links yet, not sure what formats are best… I’m happy to see more support for .bar, though.

@manton I just wrote up a post about the export capabilities of Links. Since Links doesn’t just save the URL but also a bunch of metadata as well as three archive formats (PDF, Markdown, WARC), .bar is the only format that brings those files along. So the best most complete export option.

@manton here is a .bar of the current export state. It contains five archived links. Micro.blog probably cannot use it as is right now. You probably expect some sort of „blog post“ content file.
