@EddieHinkle The way I see it is that the real issue is that the modern pastor not a scriptural role and these men and women have been forced to take on far more than any one person should.
@zoglesby That is definitely true, I agree with that. If you distribute the requirements of a single “pastor” with multiple “elders” it helps prevent overwork among a pastor and provides accountability among all the “pastors”.
@EddieHinkle Additionally all Chirstians need to understand that there should be no passive people in the Church, we all have gifts that should be used for the edification of the Church. That would be a huge impact.
