I set up a Mastodon instance planning to use it as a microblog. Then I remembered that Micro.blog has ActivityPub features and is /already/ a great microblogging tool. So, should I cross-post from here to my main Mastodon account or rely on ActivityPub? Thinking the latter.
@jack The latter. I've been going through the same dilemma, and I didn't like that I had to jump between 2 platforms. It's easier to keep everything in Micro.blog, you also can use your own domain!
@jack I'll join the chorus here: the latter. I am working this week to consolidate all my stuff in my Micro.blog blog and people on the Fediverse can just follow it wherever they preffer. Will probably redirect my current Mastodon account to the Micro.blog powered one.
@jack I recently went through this thinking and decided to use Mibro.blog w/ActivityPub… so far so good 👍
